Born at the crossroads of digital storytelling and life-long passion for the outdoors, Carolina Tradition is a fleet of award-winning filmmakers, photographers, and dedicated outdoorsmen.
We’re on a mission to capture and share our “tradition” through dynamic stories and visuals. Our fathers and grandfathers taught us what it meant to be sportsmen 365 days a year. The techniques, the dedication, the ethics. We choose to share our experiences to inspire the next generations, both at home and abroad, and pass down the Carolina Tradition.

With industry-standard cinema & photography equipment we’re not your average hunting operation. By day we operate Dustin’s Way Collective, a creative agency with a client roster consisting national brands in the outdoor, music, and corporate industries.
In the woods, we are avid outdoorsmen who are skilled in the pursuit and harvest across the Carolina’s from the mountains to the coast.

Carolina Tradition is operated by Aaron Conner and Andy Upton, two digital storytellers with a resume featuring the likes of Luke Combs, Nike, ESPN, ESPN 30 for 30 Films, NFL Films, NCAA, the ACC, the SEC, and Facebook. By day we operate Dustin’s Way Collective, a full-service production company based in Forest City, North Carolina.
Dustin’s Way has a client roster consisting of national organizations across the music, corporate, manufacturing and outdoor industries. Dustin’s Way was started as a way to honor Aaron’s brother who passed away in 2001 at age 12.

We’ve grown up in the outdoors, and have been documenting our outdoor experiences at a high level since 2015, first as a hobby and to capture these moments in time for us, our family and friends to look back on when we’re older. Over the last couple years, this passion has evolved into the brand we call Carolina Tradition. Our vision was for us to combine our skills, passions and values as outdoorsmen, storytellers and entrepreneurs to tell our stories and share the pride we have for our way of life. We have fun, we hunt hard, we capture it well, and we care about our community and region. Carolina Tradition continues to see growth as a lifestyle & apparel brand with consistent sales throughout the Carolina’s.
We’ve put concentrated effort into growing our social following and brand recognition organically through photography & short-form visual teasers while capturing material year-round as we pursue various species in the Carolina’s. We currently have several partnerships in place including Lucky Duck Premium Decoys, SportDog, Dan’s Hunting Gear, Blue Otter Polarized, King Calls, Honeycomb Custom Calls, CanCooker, and Valu-Pak Dog Food.
